To report a lost or stolen ID, go to the iCampus Web site and type in your ULID and password. Click on the Financial Info tab and select "Report Card as Lost or Found." The card may be turned off or turned back on if it is found later. A second option is to call the Redbird Card Office at (309) 438-CARD (2273). During our office hours, the Card Office staff will turn your card off. After hours, please deactivate your ID through the iCampus portal, but if this is not possible, you may call the ISU Police Department at (309) 438-8631 and they will deactivate your card for you. Broken ID's will be replaced at a cost of $5 (you must turn broken ID into the Redbird Card Office at the time of replacement), and lost/stolen ID's will cost $15 to replace. If a card is four years old or older, it is replaced for free.
If you find your lost card, you may re-activate it through the iCampus portal by clicking on the Financial Info tab and selecting "Report Card as Lost or Found". The Redbird Card Office phone number, (309) 438-2273, can also re-activate an ID during office hours. If you have lost your current ID, but have found an old ID card, you can bring in the old ID to the Redbird Card Office to have it re-encoded so that it will work. This is free of charge.
If you find someone else's lost ID, please contact the Redbird Card Office at (309) 438-2273 as soon as possible. We can put a note in the student's record indicating the card has been found so that they do not purchase a new ID card, and where they can pick it up. If possible, please drop the card off at the Redbird Card Office, located on the second floor of the Bone Student Center, or leave it with another department on campus where the student could pick it up. If not possible, please leave your name and phone number so we can let the student know how to contact you to pick up their ID.
The first ID card is free. For faculty/staff to receive your first ID Card, you must have your UID number (assigned to you when your paperwork is processed) and be a current employee. For students to receive your first ID Card, you must be registered for at least one class for the current or upcoming semester. A photo ID must be presented when you obtain your ID (i.e. Driver's License, State ID, passport, or military ID). Your photo will be taken.
Come into the Redbird Card Office during business hours. (Hours are 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, closed on weekends. Summer hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F, closed on weekends.) The replacement cost is $5 for a broken ID (you must turn in the broken ID to the Redbird Card Office at the time of replacement), or $15 for a lost/stolen ID. ID's are replaced for free after a card is four years old or older. It helps if you have a photo ID but if all your identification has been lost or stolen, you will still be able to get a new ID
Unauthorized use or use by a party other than the person identified on the Redbird Card, as well as tampering or alteration, warrants confiscation and possible disciplinary action by the University.
Your Redbird Card may not be held by campus departments for any reason. Your card is very important. Keep this card in your possession at all times.
