Secure Your Redbird Card

Your Redbird Card may not be held by a University department for any reason. Keep your card in your possession at all times. Do not loan your I.D. to a friend to use. Cashiers and University departments will only accept the I.D. that belongs to the cardholder.

How to Protect Your I.D. Card

Decoded and damaged cards may be rejected by our card readers. Do not bend, fold, or expose your card to excessive heat, washing, or other damaging elements. Do not pass your card through any other system (i.e. automated bank tellers), as decoding may occur. Do not leave your Redbird Card on or near a TV, stereo, telephone, microwave, or other electromagnetic equipment. Do not punch holes in your card. This may make your card unusable in any reader.

Redbird Cards that have been decoded can be brought into the Redbird Card Office for re-encoding. There is no charge to re-encode a card.
