The Redbird Card Office creates all Illinois State University student, faculty/staff, extra-help, and other miscellaneous ID cards. Department copy cards and guest copy cards are also created in this office. The Redbird Card Office receives deposits for the Redbird Debit Account, monitors the card system, and is responsible for the accounting of the Redbird Debit Account.
All Illinois State University students, U-High students, faculty/staff, and retirees are eligible to open a Redbird Debit Account. Your Redbird Card is the property of Illinois State University. It is entrusted to each student, faculty, and staff member while enrolled or employed by the University. This all-purpose card is used for identification, State employee discounts, vending, copiers, microfiche, laser printers, and admittance to University buildings, computer labs, and events.

To use the Redbird Card debit feature, you must deposit money in your Redbird Card Account before making your first purchase. Deposits to your Redbird Debit Account may be made in person at Student Accounts, at the Redbird Card Office, by visiting one of the 3-D machines located around campus, or by mail to Illinois State University, Debit Account Deposit, Campus Box 1210, Normal, IL 61790-1210.
Deposits may also be made by visiting iCampus and clicking on the Finances tab and selecting "Add money to my Redbird Card." A minimum deposit of $10 is required and the maximum you may deposit is $2,000. Credit/Debit cards can be used but will incur a 3% convenience fee. MasterCard, American Express, & Discover are accepted. E-Check deposits are also accepted without a convenience fee. All deposits made via iCampus will be available within approximately 20 minutes.
