Retirees

To obtain an Emeritus/Retired ID from Illinois State University, you must present to the Redbird Card Office your retiree letter from Human Resources and a photo I.D. If you do not have a letter from Human Resources, the Redbird Card Office staff can call Human Resources to verify the Retiree status.

It takes approximately five minutes to take your photo and print the I.D. card.

Fees

  • First I.D. is free.
  • I.D.'s that are four years old or older are replaced for free.
  • Lost or stolen IDs less than four years old are $15 (cash or check accepted).
  • Broken I.D.'s are replaced for $5 (cash or check accepted) if the I.D. is returned to the Redbird Card Office.

Surviving Spouses

Surviving Spouse or Survivor I.D.'s are for spouses/domestic partners of deceased Illinois State University employees. To obtain a Survivor I.D. from Illinois State University, you must first contact Human Resources. Once Human Resources has approved you for an I.D., present a photo I.D. at the Redbird Card Office in Bone Student Center.

It takes approximately five minutes to take your photo and print the I.D. Card.
