UI 1.5 GUI (User Interface 1.5 – Graphical User Interface for Release 16) is the 32-bit client piece of a telnet application which users utilize to access Illinois State University's Financial Information System. The server piece runs on an IBM RS6000, and as such, your computer will require connectivity to the Illinois State University network via Ethernet or Token Ring so that Datatel can communicate with the Server.
The 32-bit version of UI 1.5 is supported under Windows XP.
The 32-bit version of UI 1.5 is supported under Windows 2000.
The 32-bit version of UI 1.5 will no longer be supported under Windows 95/98 or NT Workstation after May 1, 2004.
UI 1.5 and wIntegrate have been used successfully by some departments on campus on MACS running VirtualPC, but the WEB UI client is a superior option for MAC users, since it will run on Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari browsers.
Datatel has developed a Web-based client to access the Financial Information System. This requires a current JAVA client, typically at least Version 1.5.0 – build 1.5.0_04-b05 on Windows XP or Windows 2000 machines. The UI WEB client has the same functionality and performs comparably to UI 1.5 GUI. To access UI WEB, users must be added to a security group. Please contact
