Accounting Office

The Comptroller's Accounting Office is located in Hovey Hall Room 102. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The main office number is (309) 438-5672.

The Accounting Office functions are divided among two main categories:

1. Appropriated Funds

Appropriated funds are those authorized and granted to Illinois State University by the State Legislature and the Governor. These include: General Revenue, Educational Assistance Fund, Income Fund and Capital Development Fund.

2. Non-Appropriated Funds

These include: The Restricted Fund (Grants & Contracts), Auxiliary Facilities System (Bond Revenue), Service Fund, Foundation Fund, and Agency Funds. Non-Appropriated Funds are held locally at the University.

Non-Appropriated funds are subject to University Guidelines as amended in 1997 (Legislative Audit Commission Guidelines) and excess funds tests (excluding Grants and Contracts).
